On the top of a mountain near Hallelujah Junction is a hard-working and accommodating group, obsessed with uncovering some of the best scepters and amethyst specimens. When their team gets going, outstanding cutting rough is also found (resulting in impressive works of gemstone artistry). At times, there can be quite a number of Amethyst and Smoky Quartz pockets being worked at the same time. In these moments the amount of quartz crystal production might bring these song lyrics to mind:
“Purple Haze all in my brain. Purple Haze all in my eyes. Purple Haze all around.”
OK, so Jimmy Hendrix may not have been rockin’ about Hallelujah Junction gemstones, but we agree…”whatever it is … put a spell on me.”
