…Now You Don’t

This magnificent gemstone was cut from the same piece of Topaz rough as the gemstone titled “…Now You See Me”. After the rough required for this gem was cut off of a larger crystal, the cut gem was intentionally left in the sun. After only two days the color changed. We wanted to show a piece from the same crystal along with the cut gemstone. Sometimes a gemstone (and gemstone rough) can be sensitive to different elements. In this case, at least some of the wavelengths in sunlight. Fortunately, the result is a beautiful silvery, clear appearance which now can sparkle in the sun. After becoming a “…Now You Don’t”, this gemstone can be showy and flash from the brightness of the mid-day sun.
