The flame of Hearth Fire radiates a warm glow from within this red Oregon Sunstone. We have been at Sunstone Butte mine when this and many spectacular red gemstones have been found. On rare occasions there have been basalt covered stones that look like large flattened eggs. When broken open, a holiday of red and green gemstones spill out. Hearth Fire allows us to see and feel this joyful amazement and warmth throughout the year.

Dave Wheatley and Tammy Moreau own and operate the Sunstone Butte mine. We asked Dave to tell about the reactions of people seeing their mine and gemstones in person:

“xxxx”

The world of Oregon Sunstone came alive when Dave and Tammy started producing some of the most incredible gems from Sunstone Butte Mine. There just are not enough ways to express our appreciation for the gemstones produced by Sunstone Butte Mine and the support given to American Gemstones by some good people and good friends.
